Alastair Wade
E-MAIL: awade@gsw-law.com Law PracticeAlastair Wade is a trial and appellate counsel in civil and commercial litigation and has acted in a broad range of matters, including bankruptcy and insolvency issues, shareholder and director disputes, environmental law, real estate and construction disputes, personal injury litigation and sports law. He is also a civil mediator and arbitrator. Alastair was admitted to the Bar of British Columbia in 1981. Professional ActivitiesAlastair is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the Medical Legal Society of B.C. and the Canadian Bar Association, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Civil Litigation sub-sections. He has also acted as a course instructor for Continuing Legal Education in such areas as: Administrative Law, Advanced Commercial Arbitration, Mastering Civil Chambers, Recent Developments in Commercial Law and Civil Chambers Updates. He lived in London, England for two years, where he worked for the international law firm, Freshfields (now Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer). He has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia and now resides in West Vancouver with his wife and two children. Alastair is an avid cyclist and a regular bicycle commuter. He also enjoys skiing and gardening. Alastair takes part in a variety of volunteer activities, including Vancouver Society of Children's Centres (Vice-Chair), 1998-99; ALS Society of British Columbia(Treasurer), 1999-2000; and the ALS Society of B.C.
